Artwork and Design If the artwork isn't right the print won't be either!

Mick has been producing artwork and design for all types of printed matter from a business card through to brochures since 1980 to a very high standard. All our artwork is produced in-house and even if you supply artwork for us to use it is still put through our checking system to make sure it's ready for press.

All work is proofed and order confirmations are sent prior to press to reduce errors to virtually zero, we take a great deal of pride in producing top quality print and that starts with quality artwork.

If you are supplying us with your own artwork we take press ready PDF format, if you have any doubt as to how to supply your artwork to us then please just contact Mick the Printer.

If you haven't got any artwork, don't worry, at Mick the Printer we can use our experience to come up with something for you based on what you do or the image you want to convey, usually at a fraction of the price graphic designers charge.

QR Code (or Quick Response Code) is a kind of matrix barcode first designed for the automotive industry. More recently, the system has become popular outside of the industry due to its fast readability and large storage capacity compared to standard UPC barcodes.

The code consists of black squares arranged in a specific pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be made up of standardised kinds of data (numeric and alphanumeric), or through supported extensions, virtually any kind of data.

History - Invented by the Toyota subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994 to track vehicles during the manufacturing process, the QR Code is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. It was designed to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

The invention of Smart Phones has put a QR Code Reader in everyones pocket. As a result, the QR code has become a focus of advertising strategy, since it provides quick and effortless access to a company's website. Beyond mere convenience to the consumer, the importance of this capability is that it increases the conversion rate (that is, increase the chance that contact with the advertisement will convert to a sale), by coaxing qualified prospects further down the conversion funnel without any delay or effort, bringing the viewer to the advertisers site immediately, where a longer and more targeted sales pitch may continue.
